2019 Q2- Quarterly Newsletter
You'll never do a whole lot unless you're brave enough to try.
Great news - we're at the tail end of spring and approaching summer already! Nobody is happier than this California girl here. So, it shouldn't come as a surprise to you if I told you that the picture below of me all bundled up is from a SPRING business trip, where I dressed like an Eskimo about to brave a long, cruel winter. Needless to say, I overpacked for that trip.
Speaking of being brave... it's kinda tough, huh? I truly admire all my clients who are running their own entrepreneurial business in this new digital age. Many of you are trusting me with your digital marketing strategy and are up for trying my ideas, even if things have been done a certain way before. Being bold and making a little splash even in "boring" industries is now critical for businesses to stand out. It is my goal to help your business win hearts and sometimes, even change minds. I understand the marketing challenges that you're up against and I'm here for you, everyday.
Thank you for your continued business and support. I hope you have a wonderful summer ahead!
Very best,
Totran
COMPANY NEWS
MAKING CONNECTIONS MATTER
As an active Chamber member, we stay connected to all the events happening across the Southbay. When we heard the Manhattan Beach Chamber of Commerce welcoming Banc of California to town and that it would be under the management of VP of Retail Branch Management, Lauren Oliver, Totran's fellow MBA alum from Mount St. Mary's University, we were so happy! Shortly after, Totran and Lauren met at the new Manhattan Beach bank location to chat about ways they could collaborate together. Totran was able to connect her client, DuRoss & DuRoss, a long-standing 86 year old law firm with the brand-new Banc of California for an introductory meeting to discuss potential collaboration and partnership opportunities in their Manhattan Beach community. It was a great match and the two businesses are planning to work together on an upcoming community educational event.
Radar Strategy Group is retained by DuRoss & DuRoss for website development and management, social media management, and content marketing strategy. Visit DuRoss & DuRoss to learn more about their estate planning services. Don't miss out on their special Spring promotion happening now!
Also, if you would like to learn about Banc of California's financial services for personal or business, contact us - we are happy to make an introduction.
SUPPORTING OUR CLIENT
Our client, Gracie Barra Costa Mesa, is passionate about the disciplined art of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu... and we love that about them! In fact, we try to support their local events whenever possible.
We have attended a regional Gracie Barra competition in Irvine and most recently, participated in their popular self-defense seminar. After learning some basic life-saving skills, Totran felt confident that she could defend someone twice her size and has been practicing on her husband (mostly, against his will!)
We love first-hand experiences into our client's business because it helps us be part of the customer journey as well as understand the challenges that business owners face. We use these learning opportunities to focus on their business and help our client's business grow-- which is always our passion.
Radar Strategy Group is retained to assist this client with digital marketing, particularly focused on website content strategy and paid advertising on Google and Yelp. This client will be opening a second location in West Anaheim this year. We are very excited for their growth and expansion! Visit Gracie Barra Costa Mesa to learn more.
RADAR RECAP
It was not until Totran became an independent consultant and started running her own business that she realized the need for impactful business cards. Entrepreneurs take note: Business cards are actually more complex than they appear! It is one of the most strategic decisions you will need to make for your business. Totran’s article, "3 Ways To Ensure Your Business Card Stands Out," provides tips on how your business cards can help you stay memorable at a networking event and accurately reflect your personal brand. It was published on Business2Community.
Here are 3 marketing best practices to keep in mind when creating business cards:
1. Differentiate yourself: Find ways to differentiate your brand and value proposition.
2. Delight your audience: Make them feel that an experience was personalized just for them.
3. Brand when you can: Promote your brand at every given opportunity.
