Newsletter #9 | Shifting Our Attitude Towards Giving & Gratitude
It's hard to imagine how long we have all endured this pandemic. But lo and behold, 2020 is almost over! I feel quite proud that we have all made it through a weird Halloween, now planning a low-key Thanksgiving and ready to begin our holiday shopping.
Even though things have been slow, it's still easy feel overwhelmed by all that's left to do. Now more than ever, it is important to leave the negativity behind and challenge ourselves to dwell in gratitude and shift to a positive mindset. Despite it all, what can you be thankful for? Here are two things I am grateful for:
Embracing opportunities to focus on back-burner projects and goals that I've put off far too long. For example: I "Marie Kondo'd" my family's closet. Now even the kids' clothes are folded in neat little square packages and they've learned to keep that way. Also, I finally had time to take an online business management course through Harvard that introduced me to new leadership perspectives.
Cherishing moments with family and close friends, whether in-person at a distance or over Zoom. We've all gotten very creative with virtual and drive-by celebrations. Even delivering contactless gifts and food to surprise the recipient. We've found meaningful ways to celebrate life's milestones with loved ones despite being apart.
I hope that you and your family continue to be well and staying positive. If there's any help I can provide, including if you need PPE like masks and sanitizers, please do not hesitate to reach out to me. If you have a business, I included details on out how you can get free PPE below. Sending you all virtual *HUGS* until we can all meet again. Happy Thanksgiving!
Kindly,
Totran
